Breast eagle application, hand sewn on. Very strange as their no sign of a machined stitched eagle ever been applied to tunic. Any thoughs on this?

Interesting!
Post-war re-applied eagle without doubt.
The reason I thought the tunic was a 41 dated piece is the breast pocket size - small. This was a problem (generally) recitified late 1941 with the introduction of the larger pattern breast pockets...
I like the shortened hem - I have a Pz tunic with the exact same feature.

It was sold having a replaced breast eagle, (strange how their no stitch holes from previous eagle).
Also came with DAK trousers, Y-Straps , belt and repo (1970"s) 3rd pattern boots.
