Luftwaffe Shoulder Board OPINION??

Hi all, just received this single shoulder board in the mail today. First I want to know if it's a good piece? Second, on a typical Luftwaffe tropical shoulder board like this, which side shall face outward? I've always thought the more smoother side faced out, this one came to me the rough side faced out. Could be a collector's mistake? Thanks in advance!

Re: Luftwaffe Shoulder Board OPINION??

So far so good. Please post a clear close up of the piping if possible.

The upper side is the one shown in the second photo.

Probably you know it already but i will mention anyway that this strap is intended for Luftwaffe shirts, not tunics.

p.s. Welcome to the forum.

By the way i noticed that you registered to the forum yesterday. We had a technical problem with new registrations so i am very happy to see a new member registering.

When you completed the form did you receive an email from the server to activate your account?

Thanks for the input Chris! Here are some better pictures. And I actually registered a few days ago, but never got the confirmation email. I was told to change the password, and then I got the email finally. Everything is good now! smile

Re: Luftwaffe Shoulder Board OPINION??

Welcome to the Forum. The strap is a good LW shirt strap, a horde of these were found back in the late 80's.

with regards
Tim

Thank you Tim! These are the more common tropical items I see on the market. Now it all makes sense. Good information to know!

Thanks for the reply Ran. The system asked you to change the password?

I registered a few days ago, but not until yesterday that I wanted to post something so I had to log in. I was told to change my password. But when I clicked on the link to do so, instead of changing the password I was given a password through email, and that's still the one I'm using now.
