Hi Seba and mates
finally I found some interesting information about this cap.

Yes the insignia are fake, but the cap is definitely original.
It has been made by an Italian maker with italian materials and the two characteristic frontal zelt buttons.

This is a document of the Italian maker dated 1943

these are the materials of the cap compared with the ones of an Italian greatcoat of mine ( they are absolutely the same, although those of the hat are more used ).

I think to restore it by removing the fakes and giving it original insignia.
I have already remove them and I have found two evident signs in the cloth. I think it was really an SS cap. smile
