1st Pattern Denison Used in Palastine

Hi Team,
First post in this area but this is fairly special. Among'st a lot of other items, the owner/wearer brought this 1st type Denison smock into work , wanting to know if I'd be interested...? (Um, yes - I'd known about this one since the early 1980's)
He wore it as a member of the 21st Artist Rifles (SAS) as a young Leutenant in Palastine in 1947. The smock itself was used in WWII in the Rhine jumps by his instructor who 'took pity on me wearing a bright, new smock. He threw me this one...' as the gentleman stated.
The SAS wings are WWII pattern and were applied by the Leutenant himself. He retains his complete uniform - fully badged, right down to the 1944 dated string vest...
Anyway - it saw service in a hot climate and I hope you enjoy it!
Regards,
Mark

Thanks Jerry,
In truth I think it's the only Allied uniform I've ever wanted to put together. And, even better in regards to provenance are the two original photos of it in wear by the instructor...

That is a seriously desirable smock, and must be very rare in the true meaning of the word.  It would be good to see the period pics if possible.

Words escape me, WOW, you lucky man.

Don't worry Jerry - I DO understand how fortunate I am on this one...
I'll ask the gentleman if I can post the two photos - but he's extremely private so I might not be able to...

No worries on the photos and I understand the need to respect his wishes.
