What book or magazine did this come from?
Excellent studio shots, love the webbing and equipment detail.

Re: Afrika Korps Infantryman

Hello,

it's an old "gros-plan" from the French Militaria-Magazine (1990ies), also to be found in "German soldiers of ww2" from Lagarde-Scipion-HSC&Co.

The shovel carrier is well known, French post-war modified to fool DAK collectors for many years.

Kind regards
Teka

...and that eagle is immediately identifiable as fake....
They could have done a really accurate job - but failed.

Re: Afrika Korps Infantryman

That would be one of my set-ups for an article in issue #300 of Militaria Magazine.

Mark

Hi Lars, yes, wrong piping, doh!

I have the book this is published in and like many such books it is a mixture of good original items and others of dubious originality.
