British 1943 Dated Map Case

Thought would be an appropriate item for this section. Don't know if this type of map case was intended for desert or jungle conditions as it has less cloth surface exposed but a hard section of leather for stability and writing purposes. Hope you will enjoy!  Barron  smile

I might be wrong, but I think C. G. Hartley was a canvas and web gear producer based in Australia.  Anyone else know?

Re: British 1943 Dated Map Case

Hi Tom! you are probably correct as I got it from Australia via EBay. Most of the British stuff has Ltd behind the company but not always. Following is a standard tropical (definitely British) map case also dated 1943. Enjoy!  Barron
