Re: Pa. and N.J. awards

Very interesting items! Especially the Confederate memorial probably for a son or grandson of a CSA veteran as no Civil War Veteran served in WW1 (several served in Spanish-American war in 1898). Does USAAC stand for Ambulance corps? "Young Indiana Jones" series had an interesting episode about this topic if you ever saw that?    Barron

Re: Pa. and N.J. awards

Thanks guys.  I think it is a Sons of Confederate Veterans related award. It is the Ambulance Corp.. Camp Crane is now the Allentown Fair Grounds. The Forks of the Delaware holds the antique firearms show there. Rich A. in Pa.

Here are the hats. Got these at the flea market. I thought they were Civil War but I asked a guy that is a Civil War dealer and has a place in Gettysburg,Pa. that sells that type of stuff. He told me they were Indian Wars. One is a dress hat.  Rich A. in Pa.

Re: Pa. and N.J. awards

Interesting stuff! Getting into another of my interests. Thought I would bring out a few of my goodies! smile First is a boxed Grand Army of the Republic kepi from about 1900 but as you can see it is a different pattern closer to Civil War for the veterans. Hope you will enjoy! Barron cool

Re: Pa. and N.J. awards

Barron,I do not know. How big is it supposed to be? I did not know it was fake. It looks good and was framed by a pro. It was cheap so I bought it. I was told if it was original it is worth a big pile of money.
Sebastian,Thanks. Rich A. in Pa.

Re: Pa. and N.J. awards

Reasonable dimensions, but Battle Creek name is a problem for two reasons-Confederates called battles by nearest populated area, where Yankees named battles for nearest geographic site-creeks or hills usually. Couldn't find any battle in civil war by that name unless it was in Missouri, where First National could be appropriate through entire war but usually with 11 or 13 stars? Also Atlanta was very late war battle for an early flag to be used? Barron
