This just walked in the door the other day, WW2 Italian Tropical Shirt which I got through a friend of Chris's from Germany, thanks Chris
So this Shirt completes my Tropical Italian Uniform, I'll have to do some photos on a mannequin. I actually had one of these shirts a few years back but I sold it to buy something else, it was the actual shirt photographed in the Rex Tyre book "Mussolini's Soldiers" which was the same pattern as this one with wooden buttons, no pockets and constructed with grey thread.
So nice to have it all complete again, but still looking for boots which seem to be more difficult than I imagined. Another member here Portosaid had a friend with a pair of boots, but when I asked for total with postage the trail went cold, so I don't know what that was all about???
The Shirt looks to be unissued with only a few storage marks here and there, but nice to know that when on display there is an actual original shirt underneath the tunic and could also be used just on it's own without a tunic

Nice shirt. I should send Rex a e-mail and tell him you have the shirt. I did a bunch of pics for his next book. Rich A. in Pa.

G, day Rich,
Sorry the shirt I had before this one was from Rex's book but I sold that a while back. The one photographed above was a recent purchase that came from Germany.
