M43 Heer Cap Dated 1944

There must be hundreds of variations to these things, so I thought I would bring my moderately used 1944 dated example out. Pretty good condition except that some of the fuzz (knap?) seems to come off in not worn locations. Still has a barely readable RB Nr and date with good size! Enjoy!wink

Re: M43 Heer Cap Dated 1944

Thank you again Seba! That was funny, TinyPics somehow replaced my frontal shot of the cap with a girl!!! Not offensive at least big_smile  Took a bit to get it fixed! Yeah, again I have had this cap since the 1980s when it came with an German artillery piped version of an "Ike Jacket" late war. I sold the jacket to buy my first house/condo but kept the cap as I was already trying to concentrate my collecting efforts on North African campaign. Since then the repro M43 caps have kept me from replacing this cap with an earlier dated example. cool Thanks Again!

Great looking cap Barron looks like it was originally made as a Mountain troops cap due too the short peek ? I have one late war cap will get some photo's soon.
