" BLITZKRIEG HELMETS ! "

GERMAN WW2 HELMETS
There were 5 main helmet makers decals, paint colour, shape and weight all varied a little my display below ( all are M40 helmets ) is set up to compare with chart on the right.
Also pictured are good clear examples of maker stamps inside the helmet shell of note EF helmets are known for having weak stamps on many examples so if you have a helmet with a stamp hard to read it is most likely an EF helmet the liner appears more of an oval shape too in EF helmets compared with the other makers and paint is typically darker.
Q army helmets are recognisable by their decal the eagle has big talons grasping the swastika and is known as the "BIG FOOT " decal. SE helmets tend to be slightly lighter in weight and have a more protruding air vents on the M40 version than the other makers.

Helmet Maker Code -           Manufacturer -                                                City
ET (or ckl)  =                      Eisenhüttenwerke,                                          Thale
EF =                               Emaillierwerke A.G.,                                             Fulda
NS =                         Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke,                             Schwerte
Q =                                            Quist,                                                        Esslingen
SE (or hkp) =           Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke,                       Lauter

Re: " BLITZKRIEG HELMETS ! "

I wish i could trade the weather. I just hate summer and everyday having so much sun. I enjoy the winter time now especially when it rains. An average temperature during the morning is 10-15 Celsius so not really cold hmm

To the point: Lovely helmets and a big variety. Well done mate cool
